Privacy Policy — Flit
Last updated: 2026-05-13
This policy describes the information that the Flit app ("we", "our", "the app") collects, how it is used and the rights you have. We apply the principle of data minimization: we only collect what is strictly necessary for the game to work.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect: a unique identifier (UUID), a nickname you choose, and — if you use Sign in with Apple — an anonymized Apple identifier and a relay email address provided by Apple. While you play, we record your progress (levels completed, scores, XP, quiz statistics, league, badges) in order to power your profile, leaderboards and spaced repetition. We also collect minimal technical information (device model, iOS version, app version, language, anonymized crash logs) to diagnose failures.
2. What we do not collect
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise location or address book. We do not buy or sell data. We do not use third-party advertising or advertising-tracking SDKs.
3. How your data is used
Your data is used only to: (a) run the game (save your progress, compute SRS reviews, award XP and badges); (b) display leaderboards and duels between players (a nickname and score appear, never your email); (c) prevent fraud and triage bugs; (d) improve the learning content in an aggregated, anonymous way.
4. Sharing with third parties
We rely on a limited number of technical processors strictly necessary to run the service: Apple (Sign in with Apple, APNs push notifications, App Store), our database and API host, and content-generation providers used server-side to produce quizzes. None of these partners are authorized to use your data for their own commercial purposes.
5. Data retention
Account and progress data is kept as long as your account is active. Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 90 days. When you delete your account, your personal data is erased within 30 days; anonymized or aggregated items (global statistics) may be retained to improve the service.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR and equivalent laws, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. You can exercise these rights directly from the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account) or by writing to the address below. We respond within 30 days at most.
7. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data without parental consent, contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords and sensitive credentials are never stored in plain text. Despite these measures, no transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified inside the app.
10. Contact
For any question or request regarding your data, write to agencecwest@gmail.com. Publisher: Flit.
